Participants were women who had engaged female-to-female sexual contact and who agreed to answer a standardized and anonymous KAB-questionnaire. Two-hundred-twenty-four (69%) women identified themselves as lesbians. Most women (57%) engaged in female-to-female sexual intercourse at least once a week. Masturbation (90%) and oral sex (83%) were the most frequently reported female-to-female sexual practices. Twenty-two percent of women engaged in vaginal/Anal Dildo penetration with female partners, 12% reported exchanging the same Dildo during penetration, while 35% reported vaginal penetration with male partners, and 18% anal penetration with male partners. Sexual intercourse during menstruation was reported by 77% of the women, of whom 72% had sex only with female partners, 21% with both female and male partners, and 7% with only male partners. During menstruation 28% of the women had oral sex: 75% with only female partners, 22% with both female and male partners, and 3% with only male partners. Penetration during menstruation was reported by 40% the women: 57% with only female partners and 32% with both female and male partners. Thirty four (11%) women reported that they had ever used intravenous drugs and 29/34 practiced needle sharing either with women (27%), with men (6%) or with both women and men (53%).
